Support Our Work!

At Grow2Zero, we count ourselves as fortunate to be doing the work that we do. We’ve accomplished a lot in the three years since we founded in 2020 and want to do so much more. Please consider supporting our work to foster healthy living and self sufficiency in Long Beach, CA.

Here are five ways Grow2Zero FARMS works to strengthen the Long Beach food system:

Weekly Food Distribution

Since 2021 our team has provided fresh healthy food to the Westside Long Beach community, distributing groceries to over 100 families every Wednesday.

*Your $40 donation provides a family with two bags of wholesome groceries. $150 feeds a family for a month.*

Growing Locally

Grow2Zero is proud to provide hyper-locally grown produce to corner stores in Long Beach’s food desert neighborhoods as part of Long Beach Fresh’s Produce to Market program.

*Your $250 donation covers the cost of a 30-foot row crop from seed to harvest.*

Community Education

Grow2Zero has developed a comprehensive school garden curriculum for middle and high school students of the Long Beach Unified School District and will launch our no-cost Future Urban Farmers Academy for young adults in December. You can learn more about the Academy at this page.

Preventing Waste

Grow2Zero’s grocery giveaway combines our farm-grown produce with an assortment of fresh and shelf-stable foods from food rescue partners Food Forward, Food Finders, Rockenwagner Bakery, and Vallarta Supermarkets, preventing between 1,500 and 2,000 pounds of edible food from going to waste every week!

Collaboration

Hands down the best part of growing in Long Beach is the sense of community. Our efforts are only made stronger by incredible community partners and collaborators like Sowing Seeds of Change Urban Farm, Long Beach Fresh, Food Finders, The Maye Center at the Growing Experience Urban Farm, and Farmlot 59

Grow2Zero means feeding our community while wasting nothing. Thank you for your support!
