Future Urban Farmers Academy

No-cost training for aspiring urban agriculture professionals

We offer two learning options:

Our 24-week online program takes place on weekday evenings via Zoom and our 6-month in-person program takes place on Saturday mornings at farms and other locations in Long Beach.

The online program is best suited to beginners who would like to explore the topic of urban farming in a virtual environment, as well as urban agriculture enthusiasts seeking continuing education and community.

The on-farm program involves a more rigorous and hands-on curriculum that takes place entirely in-person and requires a firm commitment to be present at nearly every Saturday morning class.

This program is best suited to young adults seeking a career in urban agriculture and anyone who has completed the online program.

Our On-Farm program combines an intensive education in regenerative urban growing methods with specialty units in the culinary arts, floriculture, mushroom cultivation, beekeeping, native plants, and more.

Grow2Zero is excited to work with our teaching partners to offer this comprehensive learning experience
